1. Introduction

At Clear Scan, operated by ReachUp HQ, we prioritize your privacy above all else. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to transparency and the security of your data. Our primary goal is to provide a high-performance utility that functions entirely on your device without compromising your personal information.

2. No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data using our Application. Specifically:

Scan Content: We never see, touch, or transmit what you scan. All barcode and QR code decoding happens locally via Apple's Vision framework.
Unique Identifiers: We do not collect Device IDs, IP addresses, or location data.
Analytics: We use zero third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixels). We do not track your usage habits.

3. Local Data Storage

Any data generated within the app—such as your scan history, custom QR codes, or folder structures—is stored locally and exclusively on your device. This data is managed by iOS SwiftData and is protected by standard system-level encryption. We have no way to access, recover, or monitor this data.

4. Permissions Usage

Clear Scan only requests permissions that are vital to its core functions:

Camera Access: Required to capture images of QR codes and barcodes for immediate processing.
Photo Library Access: Optional. Used strictly when you choose to import an image for scanning or export a generated code to your album.
Biometric Authentication (Face ID/Touch ID): Optional. Used locally to secure your history list. We never see or store your biometric profiles.

5. Data Security

Since all data is local, the security of your information relies on the physical security of your device and your iOS passcode/biometrics. We recommend keeping your device updated and using the "Lock History" feature within the app for an extra layer of privacy.

6. Third-Party Links

If you scan a QR code that contains a link to a third-party website, that website may collect data as per their own privacy policy. We encourage you to be cautious and use our "Safety Warnings" feature to screen links before opening them.
